Electric Beds

electric bedsPeople often have a lot of questions about electric beds like “how do they work?”, or “how will an electric bed help me?”.

In this section we answer some of the common queries and explain more about them.

How Does an Electric Bed Work?

The bed itself is constructed with a moveable frame that can be in a number of different sections, commonly 3 or 5 sections. The more sections there are the more comfortable the bed, since it allows far more adjustment at different areas of your body.

The movement of the frame is controlled by a handheld unit, it can either be an integral part of the bed or an infrared device similar to your TV remote control.

As you select different settings, motors in the bed are activated and move the frame into the position you’ve selected, allowing you to adjust the bed until you are perfectly comfortable.

Are The Motors in the Bed Noisy?

No, the motors in your bed are high quality, low noise motors that are selected for precisely this reason. You might be imagining something that will sound and feel like it belongs in a factory, but modern motors can be very quiet.

In fact some of these motors are so quiet that if you need to adjust your bed at 2am in the morning the only thing you might be able to hear is your partner snoring!

Are Electric Beds Expensive?

While the quick answer is that they don’t need to be, it is a difficult question to answer definitively, it’s a bit like asking “are cars expensive?”, it all depends on the model you choose and the extras you decide on.

For straightforward single adjustable beds you might be looking at £399, and for a double maybe £699, which is actually less than you can pay for a good quality “normal” bed.

On the other hand if you want a massage system adding to it, a built in flatscreen TV, and a host of other extras then clearly it will add to the cost.

Fortunately finance is available which makes buying an electric adjustable bed affordable, and so you don’t need to compromise on quality or the features you want or need – and what price can you put on getting a good night of peaceful, comfortable, relaxing sleep anyway?

Being refreshed and revitalised after a good night’s sleep can vastly improve the quality of your life.

What if I Buy an Electric Bed and Then Find That it isn’t Right For Me?

I’m pleased to say that this isn’t something that you need to worry about at all.

You can try out the electric bed of your choice, for free, for 7 nights in the comfort of your own home to make sure that it’s absolutely perfect for you.

Your bed will be delivered and set up for you, the engineer will explain how to use it, and then if you decide that it isn’t right for you it will be collected as well!

…so you really have got nothing to lose except those uncomfortable, sleepless nights!
